FAQ'S
About Brow Tattooing & ÊVO’s Approach
What is brow tattooing?
Brow tattooing is a form of permanent makeup designed to restore shape, balance, and definition to the eyebrows. When done properly, it should look natural, subtle, and personal — not bold, obvious, or makeup-heavy.
What is nanoblading?
Nanoblading is a refined approach to brow tattooing designed to create soft, realistic hair-like strokes with greater control and less trauma to the skin.
Unlike traditional microblading, nanoblading focuses on controlled depth and natural hair flow, allowing results to heal more cleanly and age more gracefully over time. At ÊVO, nanoblading serves as the foundation of our brow work rather than a one-size-fits-all technique.
What are nano brows?
Nano brows are a modern approach to brow tattooing focused on realism rather than perfection. The goal is to create brows that blend naturally with your existing hair and facial structure instead of standing out as a cosmetic treatment.
At ÊVO, nano brows are achieved through techniques grounded in nanoblading principles and refined through the ÊvoBrows system.
How is nanoblading different from microblading?
The difference comes down to control, depth, and how the work behaves in the skin over time. Traditional microblading often works deeper and requires multiple passes, which can increase trauma and lead to blurring as the skin heals.
Nanoblading allows for finer strokes, more precise depth control, and more natural hair flow, supporting softer results that hold their clarity longer.
What is ÊvoBrows?
ÊvoBrows is ÊVO’s proprietary brow method built on nanoblading principles and refined through years of experience. It is not a single technique, but a system focused on balance, restraint, and how brows heal and age over time.
The work is designed to look natural and sit quietly on the face, without drawing attention to itself.
Results, Healing & Longevity
Will my brows look natural?
Absolutely! Natural results are the foundation of everything we do. Our approach is designed to enhance what’s already there — not replace it or overpower your features.
How long do nano brows last?
Most nano brows last between one and one and a half years. In some cases, pigment may begin to soften closer to eight months, while others can retain results for up to eighteen months.
Longevity depends on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and how the skin holds pigment over time. Our approach focuses on controlled depth so brows fade gradually rather than breaking down unevenly.
What does the healing process look like?
Healing after a brow appointment at ÊVO is intentionally low-impact. Our approach prioritizes minimal trauma to the skin, which significantly changes how brows heal compared to more aggressive methods.
Because depth is carefully controlled, most clients experience little to no flaking and minimal visible healing. Brows typically soften gradually rather than going through obvious stages, and many clients report being able to continue their day-to-day routine without anyone noticing they’ve had work done.
This low-trauma approach is especially important for clients with full schedules who want natural results without downtime or dramatic changes during healing.
Will the color change over time?
When pigment is placed at the appropriate depth and chosen carefully, it fades rather than changes color. Our work prioritizes predictable fading and long-term skin health.
Are touch-ups required?
A touch-up session is included as part of our brow services. This allows us to refine the results once the skin has fully healed and ensure the outcome aligns with both the design and how the pigment settles in the skin.
Including the touch-up is part of our quality standard. It allows us to assess healed results, make any necessary adjustments, and document the final outcome once brows have fully settled.
Safety, Skin & Expectations
Is brow tattooing safe?
When performed correctly and under proper standards, brow tattooing is considered safe. At ÊVO, safety is treated as a professional responsibility, not an afterthought. Every aspect of our process—from technique to environment—is designed to protect both the skin and the client.
What standards does ÊVO follow?
ÊVO operates under standards that go beyond minimum industry requirements. We are board-certified by the AAMPMU, a credential that requires formal testing, ongoing education, and adherence to protocols developed alongside health professionals and regulatory bodies.
This certification reflects our commitment to operating within medically informed, health-department–aligned guidelines rather than informal or self-taught practices.
How does ÊVO ensure skin safety?
Skin safety begins with depth control, restraint, and technique selection. Our work is intentionally low-trauma, which reduces stress on the skin and supports healthier healing.
We also follow strict sanitation, barrier protection, and sterilization protocols to ensure a controlled and professional environment at all times.
Does brow tattooing damage the skin?
When performed with excessive depth or aggressive techniques, brow tattooing can compromise the skin. Our approach is designed to avoid that. By working conservatively and respecting the skin’s structure, we aim to preserve skin integrity while achieving natural-looking results.
Is everyone a candidate for brow tattooing?
We truly wish this were the case. However, not everyone is an ideal candidate for brow tattooing. Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin concerns may affect suitability.
Each client is assessed individually, and recommendations are made based on safety, skin health, and long-term outcomes — not convenience.
What should clients realistically expect?
Clients should expect a thoughtful, measured process focused on long-term results rather than immediate impact. Our work is designed to heal quietly, age well, and remain appropriate as the face and skin change over time.
